Upcoming fee changes to three Trusted Traveler Programs
Starting October 1, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will increase the application fee for the Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI Trusted Traveler Programs to a uniform fee of $120.
Application fees for these three programs have not been updated in over 15 years. According to CBP, as these programs have matured and expanded, updating the fee structures is critical to the continuation and management of the programs.
Additionally, applicants under the age of 18 will now be exempt from the application fee when a parent or legal guardian is already a member of, or concurrently applying for Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI.
CBP's Trusted Traveler Programs offer expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. These programs streamline the travel process by providing access to faster lanes at U.S. airports and border crossings. Enrollment requires a rigorous background check and an in-person interview.
